Plasmonic Elliptical Nanohole Arrays for Chiral Absorption and Emission in the Near-Infrared and Visible Range

Chiral plasmonic nanostructures with tunable handedness-dependent absorption in the visible and infrared offer chiro-optical control at nanoscale. Moreover, coupling them emitting layers could lead to chiral nanosources, important for nanophotonic circuits. Here, we propose elliptical nanohole arrays (ENHA) circularly dependent near-infrared emission. We first investigate broadband behavior an Au-ENHA embedded glass by exciting it plane waves. then study of ENHA a thin layer glass; focus on emission wavelengths which provided high chirality plane-wave simulations. Our novel simulation set-up monitors far-field properly averaging large set homogeneously distributed, randomly oriented quantum sources. The intrinsic influences circular polarization degree layer. Finally, dependence field distribution excitation wavelength. demonstrate properties range, Ag-ENHA is excited green range emits Lumogen Red range. simple geometry can be fabricated low-cost nanosphere lithography covered gel. thus believe that this design great importance nanosources.
